![]() ![]() I do wish they'd all just stay platonic buddies, it works much better for the group dynamic. That's all I'm saying, that the pieces are deliberately put together for this brief pairing at the end which is not expanded on any further. But those little bits obviously work in tandem with the brief scene at the end. Anime and even non-anime games are rife with characters blushing or behaving awkwardly when complimented. ![]() If everyone's surprised that Peppermint likes Korsica when they first see the ending, then it's not an issue of people closing their eyes and pretending. >Again, I'm not arguing that it's a great setup or they're the best pairing together, I'm just saying that it wasn't just that single moment with nothing else before it. The hearts around Korsica were more subtle, but they put a very clear and scripted line in there just to avoid it being a random surprise. It's only out of the blue if you shut your eyes and ears and pretend the earlier things didn't happen. >I'd agree it was out of the blue if not for the fact that they pretty clearly hinted at it earlier with her awkward reaction to the compliment. But I agree that's not much on its own, and like Saying I'm shutting my ears and pretending shit makes it sound like there was a lot of things I chose to ignore. Did you think it meant anything more than a blush from a compliment BEFORE you saw the credits scene? I'm pretty sure most players didn't either, and that's why it's a bad hint. It's only out of the blue if you shut your eyes and ears and pretend the earlier things didn't happen.Īgain, that scene wasn't enough for anyone to draw that conclusion. >if not for the fact that they pretty clearly hinted at it earlier with her awkward reaction to the compliment. They could have easily given us more bits of the Vorsica and Peppermint thing earlier, so that it doesn't feel like a shipping kill situation when it's shown they're something AFTER the game ends. It's not that they should, just how its presented to us. Viewers will always expect them to be a potential thing in this kind of story. You have the banter between the leading guy and girl throughout the game, and he's also the main one to cheer her up before the final boss. My main issue with it is that it's a last minute thing and from a writer's perspective, this is something extremely dumb to do, with how the game is written prior to this scene. We don't know how Peppermint reacts to compliments, like the other anon said. She's not impressed by any of the executives. >I'll agree it's not flirty on Korsica's part, but Peppermint is also an adult, and would probably have authority over Korsica if her and her brother weren't trying to kill each other.
